Our team is small as a family business, however we offer many years of experience and knowledge with a range of certificates and skills to provide the services you need. Below is some more information about our crew.

Brent Boling

President

Good Day. As President, Owner, Inspector, and Certified Welder for Arc-Tech Welding, Inc/Arc-Tech Welding
Inspections my responsibilities are wide ranging. The trail that brought me here has taken many turns.

I started my career welding in 1975, got my first ASME certification in 1978. Through the years I added more certs
in SAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW to several codes working in heavy equipment, structural steel, pipe,
pressure vessels, and more. With this background we bought 47 Welding in Prescott, AZ in 1996 operating it since
that time and changing the name to Arc-Tech Welding, Inc. in 1997.

With a background in Quality Control in previous shops, I added the AWS CWI to my credentials and moved into
QA/QC. Our work became mostly Special Inspections/QA in 2010.

I then added the AWS Bolting Endorsement, and certifications to ICC Structural Welding and Bolting, ASNT VT
(Visual Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing). I am an Approved Special Inspector in Prescott, Prescott
Valley, Yavapai County, and the City of Phoenix.

As an active member of The American Welding Society since 2000, I teach classes, write articles, make
presentations at conferences, and serve on a couple of AWS Code Committees.

We operate out of Dewey, AZ and serve the welding community coast to coast in the USA.

Susan Boling

Office Manager

Hi! I am the office manager! Which means I’m the one to keep the paper trail organized. That includes, among other things, customer communications, accounts payable and receivable, and job scheduling. All the tedious work the guys do not need to be doing so they can spend more time on your project.

Since I’m the queen of organization, my goal for this company is to keep all things running smoothly keeping you, as the customer, and the guys happy.

My education and skills come from thirty plus years of experience in five different companies as office staff, plus twenty-six years of homeschooling our five children.

Darrell Boling

Inspector

Darrell Boling is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with a vast range of experience. In 1996 he moved with his family from Oregon to Prescott Valley, AZ when his father decided to buy a welding shop there. After graduating from high school he attended Yavapai Community College for Business Administration while also working in the family business. With a father as a welder he picked up the stinger and whip at an early age, working as a certified welder (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) in the family fabrication business and going on to become the shop foreman and then operations manager for a number of years. With experience in welding everything from car bodies to heavy equipment and decorative railings to heavy structural members, his desire to learn more and do more with his career motivated him to pursue the AWS-CWI certification. Along with his CWI, Darrell is also certified as an ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector, rope access, communication tower climbing, and OSHA 30 hour. He is also certified as a Level II NDT technician in MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) and UT (Ultrasonic Testing) with AWS D1.8 Seismic Supplement. He is continually studying and working to add additional certifications to his resume. His Christian faith inspires him to serve his clients with honesty, integrity, and hard work. When not working on the job he is ministering in his church as the teen youth leader. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family exploring the outdoors, hunting, hiking, camping, and traveling!
