Special Inspections, under Chapter 17 of the International Building Code (IBC), are required for buildings and structures in many states and municipalities. Our staff of certified inspectors, technicians, quality control experts, and professional engineers provide a value-added service to your project through their experience and knowledge in the construction industry.

To accomplish this task, we work to several structural codes: AISC 360 is a direct requirement from IBC Chapter 17.  AISC 341/358 also is used for Seismic applications.  AISC Construction Manual (360) defaults to AWS D1.1 for most welding inspections.  Many projects also refer to AWS D1.3 sheet steel, D1.4 rebar, D1.8 Seismic, and sometimes others.

Many jobs also have need of Bolting inspections to either Snug Tight or Pre-Tensioned conditions.  Our inspectors have qualified to AWS Bolting, ICC Bolting, and taken several classes especially SSTC Bolting class with Bob Shaw.
